Lesson 4: Loving Your Brother
In Lesson 4 of this 8 part series, we talk about Loving Your Brother. Today’s world has a multitude of definitions for love. To some people, love is something you fall into. Then, you fall out of, when it isn’t what you expected. To others, love is what they see on TV, which is really more like lust. To some, love is what they get as a reward for being good. The world has some messed up definitions of love. We do not take our definition of love from a world that is corrupted by sin, we take our definition from the word of God. Throughout the scriptures, we see Jesus lay down his life for others. He was willing to go out of His way to minister to the Samaritan woman. He was willing to spend countless hours with people teaching them about the Kingdom of God. And made time for His disciples, who were not always the easiest guys to like. He was willing to be misunderstood and visit the drunkard, the sinner, the leper and the prostitute, Why? Because love is caring in action; Loving Our Brother is laying down our life for our brothers.
