In this lesson, Stories of the Stones, this passage has often been misinterpreted. That, should the people hold their peace, then the Lord would cause the very stones to begin to praise Him. In the text that we will read, however, Jesus says “the stones would immediately cry out.” This scripture, then, is not speaking of stones that begin to worship God, should we refuse. It is speaking of stones that begin to call out to us with a loud voice. So, if we kept silent and refused to worship, I wonder: What stories could the stones tell? I Believe the stories of the stones should be enough to persuade you and me, we can never refrain from worshipping the Master. Or from giving Him our praise, our love and our adoration!
