In Lesson 3: Tempted - Submitting To God's Will, Jesus was tempted to push God to the side and do His own thing. He was tempted to try and take over, to take control, to take authority. Jesus did not give way to this temptation. He made a choice to submit His flesh to the will of God and not to the will of Satan. Jesus chose to remember that He was sent into this world to  save it. Not take it over. In this series we will be looking at the biblical account of Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness. We look at each temptation Jesus faced and then investigate how each temptation relates to us personally. We will try to answer the question of why temptation comes to us and what purpose temptation serves. In the end I hope we will all find ways to overcome temptation by looking at how Jesus overcame.
