In this lesson, Two Reactions in a World of Sin, if someone has real faith and insight from God, they know what is not acceptable as well as what is. Any product of our flesh is not acceptable to God. Self cannot muster up enough good works to impress God. We recognize that we have sin, and can therefore never commit enough good works to please Him. The whole reason Jesus died, was to offer his death as the deaths all of us had to pay due to our sins. Since Christ died, we are now saved! We would not have existed as saved people had he not died. And because He died as us, we are in His stead today. What a humble place to be in. We would not be here if it was not for Him!
